What is the best time of year to start vein treatments?
People think that the treatment of spider veins and or varicose veins is a relatively simple matter as far as sclerotherapy is concerned, and it is.
However, it does take several sessions depending on the severity of one’s problem. People usually do not want to do this particular form of treatment when they know they are going to be wearing anything that may show their legs in the warmer months. In between sessions there is a week or so of bruising that doesn’t look good immediately after treatment.
We recommend people undergo vein treatment in fall and winter if possible. If they have a much less severe case they can certainly be treated any time because the bruising problem, which is short-lived, is not as serious because they do not need as many sessions of treatment.
